Marc Camoletti’s farce is a fast paced, inventive piece, powered by an equally fast paced and double meaning dialogue.  Bernard's attempts at an illicit weekend with his mistress, whilst his wife is away, come spectacularly unstuck, leading to misunderstandings, mistaken identity and ever more elaborate complications as the situation spirals out of control.

Director Wayne Ings’ choreography of the action was lean and well paced.

There was some excellent physical comedy: the scene with Suzette's dress was cleverly done and a real winner with the audience.

The cast proved themselves more than equal to the tongue twisting dialogue, delivering convoluted explanations of the unfolding situation with considerable aplomb.

Carol Ings was wonderful as the wily cook cum supposed femme fatale Suzette, showing a real comic flair.  She worked particularly well with Patric Howe in the role of Robert.

A fun night's entertainment.
